Gov. Rick Perry today announced the James Skinner Baking Co. is creating a new bakery production facility in Paris, along with 393 jobs and $25 million in capital investment. The state is providing $1.8 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) to close the deal on this job creation. The governor was joined by company President Audie Keaton, Paris Mayor Dr. A.J. Hashmi and State Rep. George Lavender for the announcement.

Ranks 1st in the Annual Baseline Assessment of Choice in Canada and the United States (ABACCUS)

The residential and commercial/industrial electric markets in Texas top the 2012 list of competitive electric markets in the Annual Baseline Assessment of Choice in Canada and the United States (ABACCUS) that was released today. Texas has now earned the top spot for six consecutive years while achieving the 2012 top rating of “Excellent” for its implementation of customer choice.

Gov. Rick Perry today announced TEKsystems Global Services is creating a new IT center in Irving, along with 500 jobs and $4.8 million in capital investment. The state is providing $1.1 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) to close the deal on this new facility and this job creation.

Gov. Rick Perry today announced ADP is expanding its operations in El Paso, creating 585 jobs and $22 million in capital investment. Texas is providing $2.4 million from the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) to finalize this expansion and job creation.

Rick Perry today announced Layne Christensen Co. is moving its global headquarters to The Woodlands, creating 210 jobs and $6.7 million in capital investment. $1.3 million from the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) is being offered to finalize this headquarters move and job creation. Execution of a state agreement is contingent upon finalization of local incentives.

Gov. Rick Perry today announced Visa U.S.A. Inc. will build a new global IT center and create 794 new jobs in Austin and millions in capital investment. In exchange for Visa's commitment to create these new jobs in Texas, the state has offered the company $7.9 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF). Execution of a state agreement is contingent upon finalization of local incentives.

Texas' pro-business approach continues to receive national recognition, and Area Development Magazine is the latest organization to take notice by naming Texas the top state to do business in their third annual “Top States for Doing Business Survey.” The award is given to the state that most exemplifies industrial competitiveness related to its business environment, labor climate, infrastructure and global access and economy.

Gov. Rick Perry has announced the state is investing $930,000 through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) in Pactiv for the expansion of the company’s manufacturing facility in Corsicana, and creation of 200 jobs and a multimillion dollar capital investment.

Rick Perry has announced the state is investing $1.9 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) in HID Global Corp. This TEF investment will create 239 jobs and more than $35 million in capital investment at a new manufacturing and distribution center in Austin. The agreement is contingent upon finalization of local incentives.
