Gun ammunition magazines manufacturer, Magpul Industries Corporation, relocated its corporate headquarters from Colorado to Austin, Texas. They moved into a 16,000 square-foot property off Bee Caves Road.

Gov. Rick Perry today helped announce the acquisition of Kalon Biotherapeutics LLC by FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies U.S.A. Inc., a subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corp. Kalon, a biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing organization owned by the State of Texas and the Texas A&M University System, is an important part of the growing biotechnology industry in Texas.

Rick Perry ascended from Lieutenant Governor to Governor of Texas in December 2000 when then-governor George Bush resigned after being elected the 43rd President of the United States. Perry will retire in January with the tenth longest gubernatorial tenure in U.S. history. Perry made job creation one of his principle mantras, and he has overseen remarkable employment gains under his watch with 2.1 million jobs added during his tenure. The total represents 30% of the jobs added in the U.S. since 2000 and more than twice as many as any other state.

Grupo Siro, the parent company of Siro Group USA, is one of the biggest names in the Spanish food industry with 19 production facilities, a research and development center and headquarters in five countries. The company produces baby food, cookies, pastries, pasta, frozen desserts, bread and cereals, with more than half of its total output sold to retailers as private label products.

Hilti moved their North American corporate headquarters from Tulsa, Oklahoma to the Trammell Crow Legacy Tower in Plano, Texas. Hilti is a tool manufacturer for companies in the construction industry. With the move to Plano, they will be closer to their energy and construction customer base. Finance, marketing, human resources, engineering, legal, leadership recruiting, and material management departments will all be relocated to the new headquarters. Other departments will remain in Tulsa.

AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry today announced the state is investing $800,000 from the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) in Siro Group USA to close the deal on a manufacturing facility in Seguin that will create more than 200 jobs and pump $58.5 million in capital investment into the local economy.

Gov. Rick Perry today welcomed Toyota's new North American headquarters to Plano. Once completed, the facility will bring nearly 4,000 jobs and more than $300 million in capital investment to North Texas.

Gov. Rick Perry will be in Europe this week for an economic development trip that will take him to England, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. The governor will start the week in London with a speech on Tuesday at the Royal United Services Institute. In addition to holding business meetings in each country, the governor will explore opportunities to expand the export of liquefied natural gas from Texas to Poland and Ukraine.
